Case Study: RE Create

CASE STUDIES

The Packaging Dilemma:

Unimac’s cannabis client needed a rigid set-up type carton. Originally this required 100% overseas hand labor and assembly and then international freight to the United States. The unit cost was already a budget buster and projected timing was much too long for their upcoming product launch.

The Packaging Challenge:

How best to reduce unit costs? How best to improve delivery time and overhead? How to provide a professional package in time to meet our client’s urgent product launch?

The Packaging Solution:

Unimac designed a folding carton style structure that mimicked the rigid set box concept.

The unit carton was printed and manufactured on 18 pt. C/1/S SBS board.  An internal liner was created for glass bottle protection and drop testing.  Clean tucks and finished edges were glued and automated.  Final assembly and finishing were performed on premises in our fulfillment department in Carlstadt, NJ and easily delivered on time and in perfect condition.

The Result:

A beautiful clean print aesthetic with a soft touch feel aqueous coating and spot gloss UV to accent logo.  Our client was able to successfully launch on time, under-budget and was thrilled with the print quality and structural integrity of their packaging and its representation of their product in the retail environment. Problem solved!
