Commitment to Sustainability
Our greatest sense of achievement is producing our client’s projects while ensuring the smallest possible environmental impact.
These efforts include renewable forestry initiatives such as:
- FSC / SFI / PEFC certifications
- recycling and reuse initiatives in our facilities
- the use of recycled paper within the manufacturing process
- ISO 14001: 2015 environmental management system certification
- renewable energy generation through our rooftop solar panels
Unimac holds ISO 14001:2015 EMS Environmental Management System Certification for our ongoing commitment to maintain the highest standards within our industry.
Unimac is committed to Responsible Forestry initiatives and maintains FSC and SFI/PEFC Certifications.
Unimac’s environmental program is responsible for recycling over 4,000 tons of paper and 10,000 lbs. of aluminum. This program in conjunction with our waste water management system, eliminates over 90% of our manufacturing waste through recycling.
Time and again, Unimac has gone a step further and installed solar panels covering the entire roof of our 144,000 sq ft. facility. This solar panel installation consists of 3,458 solar panels resulting in the capacity to produce over 1,000,000 kwhs of clean solar energy. This installation generates a significant percent of Unimac’s annual electricity needs and demonstrates our commitment to green initiatives.
